As carers we specialise in providing stimulating, therapeutic recreation programmes for seniors and their families with our range of on-site services that cater to each individual’s particular needs.
Our services are client and family focused. We primarily provide a ‘home from home’ environment for seniors and assist them to live a fulfilled and happy life. While our duty of care means that we provide constant supervision, we also encourage clients to be as actively independent as far as possible.
Our services to clients comprise supervised group activities of a social, physical, intellectual, educational and spiritual nature, under the supervision of professionally trained sympathetic staff.
We provide:
- Private, spacious and comfortable accommodation
- Healthy, varied, sumptuous meals designed to meet special nutritional needs
- Medication management (implemented by registered nurse under instruction from resident’s medical practitioner)
- On site physical therapy – speech and or occupational – if applicable
- Individualized medical, nursing, social, rehabilitative care – where applicable
- *Specialist hair, nail and skin care
- Access to visiting medical practitioner
- Regular visitation of registered masseuse
* NB: This service will be charged at a higher tariff and separately for off-site clients as Ken Health Care may use the services of approved 3-rd party local professionals
Our activities include:
- Arts and craft (painting, crafts etc.)
- Games
- Exercise (age appropriate aerobics, dancing)
- Day trips
- Cookery
- Welcome visits from local kindergarten or prep school children
- Caring for the pets
- Movies
- Newspapers, magazines
- Story-telling and reminiscence sessions
- Educational lectures
- Daily prayer and praise time
